“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”
Baptism marks the beginning of a journey of faith with God. Baptism can happen at any age from birth upwards.
We are always delighted to welcome you for baptism here at Saint Mark’s whether you are a babe in arms or an adult of more mature years.
If you are looking for baptism for your child, click on the picture above to download our leaflet which gives you more information about infant baptism.
If you are an adult looking for baptism yourself or another adult please come along to the Parish Office hour on a Monday between 6-7 p.m. in church and have a chat with the Vicar.
We’re here to help, and we assist you in preparing your godparents*, sponsors and yourself for the rite of baptism.
*Please note, all godparents must be baptized themselves in the Christian faith*
Baptisms always take place on a Sunday (except at Easter when a baptism can take place at the Easter Vigil on the Saturday evening before Easter Day)
The services are usually on the 2nd and 4th Sunday in the month at 2.00 p.m. or they can take place in the main act of worship on a Sunday morning by arrangement with the Vicar.
